According to Vogue, Mugler’s original Fall/Winter show was notable for its star-studded lineup and avant-garde use of fetishistic latex, marking a defining moment in nineties fashion.

The premiere transported attendees to the desert planet Arrakis, where the star-studded cast, including Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya, embarked on their cinematic journey. Director Denis Villeneuve returns audiences to Arrakis for the sequel to the 2021 hit, as Paul Atreides, portrayed by Chalamet, seeks revenge alongside Zendaya’s character, Chani, and the local Fremen against those who wronged his family.

Based on Frank Herbert’s renowned novel, the ‘Dune’ franchise delves into themes of politics, religion, and environmentalism, set in a future where noble families vie for control of planetary resources.

Speaking at the London premiere, Villeneuve expressed his excitement for the sequel, promising a more immersive and visually captivating experience for audiences. Critics praised the first film for its stunning visuals and immersive world-building.

Returning cast members include Rebecca Ferguson as Paul’s mother Jessica and Javier Bardem as Fremen leader Stilgar, with new additions such as Austin Butler and Florence Pugh joining the ensemble.

Pugh expressed her delight at joining the cast, while Butler found playing the villain to be an enjoyable challenge. The highly anticipated sequel, initially delayed due to the Hollywood actors’ strike, is set to hit cinemas globally on February 28th.
