Bollywood icon Aamir Khan is all set to make his comeback with the much-anticipated film Sitaare Zameen Par, which is now slated to hit theaters on June 20, 2025, according to recent Indian media reports.
Originally scheduled for release on May 30, 2025, the film’s new launch date gives fans just a little more time to prepare for what promises to be another emotional and powerful performance from Khan.
Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by R.S. Prasanna, is reportedly inspired by the Spanish film Campeones and follows the journey of a basketball coach—played by Aamir Khan—who mentors a team of intellectually disabled athletes. The film also shares emotional themes with Aamir’s 2007 classic Taare Zameen Par, though it is not a direct sequel.
Genelia D’Souza is set to star in a key role, and the story explores themes of inclusion, perseverance, and human connection through the lives of children facing unique personal challenges.
While an official statement from the production team is still awaited, anticipation is already building for what could be one of the most heartwarming Bollywood films of 2025.
