At the age of 69, Bappi Lahiri died in Mumbai.

The renowned singer died on Tuesday at Mumbai’s CritiCare Hospital in Juhu after a long battle with several ailments. He had reached the age of 69. Bappi Lahiri, a well-known Indian composer and musician, died suddenly in Mumbai on Sunday.

“Lahiri had been confined to the hospital for a month and was released on Monday,” said hospital director Dr. Deepak Namjoshi. After his condition worsened on Tuesday, his family requested a medical evaluation at their home. He was sent to the hospital for treatment. He was suffering from a variety of ailments. Before midnight, he died of OSA (obstructive sleep apnea),”

Composing the music for movies like Disco Dancer, Himmatwala, Sharaabi and Adventures of Tarzan, Bappi Da (Bappi Da), better known as Bappi Lahiri, has made Lahiri a household name.
