MrBeast, the renowned YouTube personality famous for his extravagant stunts like gifting private islands, has surpassed T-series, the leading Indian music channel, to claim the title of the most subscribed YouTuber, as reported by BBC.

At just 26 years old, MrBeast, also known as Jim Donaldson, now commands an impressive 269 million subscribers. This achievement was propelled by a significant surge of around 2 million subscribers on a single Saturday, propelling him past T-series’ 266 million subscribers. MrBeast consistently attracts an average of 250,000 new subscribers daily.

Previously, T-series had eclipsed Pewdiepie’s subscriber count in 2019, a content creator renowned for his gaming content. However, MrBeast’s rise to the top marks a significant shift in the YouTube landscape. T-series, known for its trailers and music videos, had held the top spot for approximately 1,900 days.

MrBeast’s YouTube journey, which began in 2012, has evolved into a philanthropic endeavor. His channel is renowned for its extravagant giveaways, with each video costing $2.5 million to produce. Despite the substantial expenses, MrBeast’s videos garner hundreds of millions of views within days, generating significant revenue. In fact, his annual earnings are estimated to be around £550 million, which he reinvests into his channel and even larger giveaways.

Forbes estimated MrBeast’s net worth to be approximately $500 million in 2022, ranking him as the top creator among the 50 most influential personalities.
