Khushi Kapoor Opens Up About Cosmetic Surgery: “Plastic is Not an Insult”

Bollywood actress Khushi Kapoor has candidly addressed her cosmetic enhancements, revealing that she has undergone a nose job and lip fillers. In an interview with Indian YouTuber Kamiya Jani on Curly Tales, Khushi spoke openly about her decision to undergo these procedures and her stance on cosmetic surgery.

“I don’t think it’s such a big deal,” Khushi said, emphasizing her comfort in discussing her cosmetic enhancements. She explained that while people often fear backlash when admitting to such procedures, she believes there’s always going to be criticism, regardless of the situation.

Khushi also tackled the notion that being called “plastic” is a major insult, stating that she doesn’t view it negatively. “People think the term ‘plastic’ is the biggest insult, but I don’t think it’s bad if someone gets work done,” she added.

The young actress also expressed concern about unrealistic beauty standards, particularly when celebrities enhance their looks and falsely claim to be “completely natural.” Khushi emphasized that this can create confusion and body image issues for young fans, saying, “It’s unfair to younger boys and girls who look up to you and then think, ‘Oh, I don’t look like that; why can’t I?’”

Khushi also highlighted the significant effort required to maintain one’s appearance, noting, “There’s so much effort put into looking a certain way—facials, skincare—not everyone knows that.”

Khushi’s comments have drawn comparisons to her cousin, Sonam Kapoor, who sparked controversy on social media with similar statements about cosmetic surgery during an episode of Koffee with Karan.

On the professional front, Khushi Kapoor is set to make her big-screen debut in Loveyapa, starring alongside Junaid Khan. The film is scheduled for release on February 7, 2025. She is also working on another project, Naadaniyaan, with Dharma Productions, where she stars opposite Ibrahim Ali Khan.
