Cricket Legend Sachin Tendulkar Feels that 12 years of his Career were Full of Anxiety

On battling depression and the latest celebrity to come clean about his mental struggles is none other than famous Indian cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar.

Sachin has had an illustrious career in cricket breaking many world records. While the great cricket matches are sure to make the best of us anxious, it was pretty different for Sachin. In an interview with SpotBoyE,

he revealed:

“I realized that besides preparing physically for a game, you have to prepare yourself mentally also. In my mind, the match started long before I entered the ground. The anxiety levels were very high.

” He felt this anxiety for 12 years having countless sleepless nights before the day of his match.

Gradually, Sachin started accepting it and chose to make peace with it. So how did he deal with it?

Sachin explained:

“I would watch TV, play video games early in the morning on the day of the my match. Making tea and ironing my clothes also helped me prepare for the game. I would pack my bag the day before the game, my brother taught me all of it and it became a habit. I followed the same drill even in the last match I played for India.”
