Alizeh Shah Exposes Abuse and Exploitation in Pakistani Showbiz, Vows to Speak Her Truth

Pakistani actor Alizeh Shah has once again taken to Instagram, continuing her bold stand against what she calls the toxic and exploitative culture of the local entertainment industry. In a series of emotional and revealing video stories, the Ehd-e-Wafa star opened up about years of mistreatment, including harassment, media trolling, delayed payments, and workplace disrespect.

Labeling this as her “final attempt” to reclaim her voice, Shah declared,
“I will expose every single person who mistreated me. I’m done being a joke for the internet. People have no idea how hard an actor’s life already is.”

The actor’s posts come in the wake of renewed criticism stemming from a resurfaced 2022 interview where Yasir Nawaz described Shah as “difficult to work with” and vowed not to collaborate with her again. While she didn’t name him directly, Shah’s posts are widely seen as a response to the narrative that interviews like his have reinforced.

Alizeh Shah Revisits Viral Ramp Fall, Calls It Deliberate

One of the most shocking revelations came as Shah readdressed the infamous Bridal Couture Week 2021 ramp fall — a viral incident where she stumbled during a walk with singer Shazia Manzoor. Contrary to her earlier dismissal of the event as an accident, Shah now claims,
“She pulled me deliberately. It wasn’t a mistake — I was dragged to the floor.”

She further accused Manzoor of inappropriate behavior throughout the walk and said the event was weaponized to humiliate her publicly. Shah also called out Juggan Kazim and Jannat Mirza for mocking her in viral recreations, saying,
“This became an industry joke. They made fun of my pain.”

Alizeh also clarified rumors about the alleged “cigarette-throwing incident,” saying no such moment was caught on camera and that she only reacted by throwing her sandal out of frustration after being slapped — an act later confirmed in an old interview by actor Sami Khan.

Calling Out Industry Injustice: Late Payments, Bullying & Blacklisting

In her videos, Shah also highlighted systematic problems plaguing the industry — from late payments to professional blacklisting for asserting boundaries.
“We beg for our own cheques. Payments are delayed for months. And if you dare speak up, they make sure you don’t work again,” she said.

According to her, actors — especially women — are punished for setting boundaries and protecting their dignity.
