A recent interview in which writer KV Vijayendra Prasad said that he plans to begin writing the screenplay for Pawan Putra Bhaijaan in May, Salman Khan announced in December that a sequel to his 2015 comedy-drama Bajrangi Bhaijaan is now in the works.

Actress Harshaali Malhotra, who portrayed Munni in Bajrangi Bhaijaan 1, now discusses about the sequel in an interview with us on the site. Part 2 has Harshaali giddy with anticipation. “I’m giddy with anticipation.

All I can do at this point is wait for Salman uncle to phone and tell me that we need to begin filming, and I’ll jump right in. It’s not long after the news was made that many people have been tagging me on social media inquiring about the project,” says the actress. “I am eagerly awaiting its commencement and hope that I will have a part in it.”

She was a first-grader when she filmed the Kabir Khan-directed original, and is now a ninth-grader. When she sees Bajrangi Bhaijaan on TV, Harshaali says, “I still get a warm fuzzy feeling and wonder if it was me.

According to the actress, she keeps in contact with Salman on and off, and sends him a happy birthday every year. She says, “We used to have so much fun while shooting,” when asked about her time on the Bajrangi Bhaijaan 1 set. We’d go ATV rides and even play a round of table tennis with our friends. When I wasn’t feeling well during a shoot, he told me that an actor’s performing shouldn’t suffer because of their illness. That counsel hasn’t changed for me.
