Younis Khan, former Pakistan batsman, has been named batting coach for the Afghanistan national team. Younis Khan will serve as an assistant coach for the Afghan team when they are in the United Arab Emirates.

A three-week deal with the ACB is Younis Khan’s original agreement; his stay may be extended based on his performance on the UAE tour.

Pakistan’s former batting coach, Younis Khan, left the country in the middle of his one-year tenure owing to conflicts with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Only Younis Khan has scored 10,000 runs in Test cricket, making him Pakistan’s most successful batsman in the longer format.

In addition, Umar Gul, a former Pakistan fast bowler, will serve as Afghanistan’s bowling consultant during the tour to the United Arab Emirates. The Afghan squad has already arrived in the United Arab Emirates for the training camp, and the new coaches should be joining them in the next few days.
