The unnamed Rajamouli-Mahesh project will take place in the present day. Rajamouli is done with period films for the time being, after three back-to-back costume dramas set in the distant past. Bhansali, too, chose to abandon the costume drama after three consecutive films in the genre.
The film starring Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu will be a fast-paced adventure-thriller. “The concept is currently being developed.” Even Mahesh Babu is unaware of the whole scenario. Rajamouli has been working on RRR.
Now that it’s out, he’ll devote his whole focus to the Mahesh Babu project. “It will be filmed in a stretch and finished in six months,” a person close to the production claims.
