The official teaser for Thor: Love and Thunder has been released! It was only a matter of time until Marvel Entertainment unveiled the long-awaited trailer for their next Thor movie. The minute-long introduction to the superhero’s latest journey has captivated audiences worldwide. Chris Hemsworth will play the God of Thunder in the film, which will have a star-studded cast when it premieres on July 8.

Teaser: Hemsworth says his “superhero-ing days are done” as he buried his past and goes on with his newfound knowledge in the teaser. Another funny scene in the one-minute clip shows Chris Pratt’s Starlord offering the God of Thunder some advise, hinting at the return of their legendary on-screen chemistry. Fans will be overjoyed to learn that Korg, portrayed by filmmaker Taika Waititi, will be making another appearance in the film.

Natalie Portman, who plays Thor’s ex-girlfriend Jane Foster in the next film, summons Mjolnir in full Mighty Thor garb in the trailer. Fans have expressed their astonishment at the teaser’s release, since they had anticipated a similar look to the last Thor: Ragnarok film.

The film’s official summary says, “Thor embarks on a voyage of self-discovery in this film, which is unlike anything he’s ever encountered. But Gorr the God Butcher, an assassin from another galaxy bent on wiping out all of the gods, interrupts his retirement. With the aid of King Valkyrie, Korg, and his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, Thor is able to defeat the menace. To Thor’s amazement, Mjolnir, his mystical hammer, is wielded as the Mighty Thor. To stop the God Butcher before it’s too late, they set out on a perilous journey throughout the cosmos together.”
