Bollywood film veteran Javed Sheikh reflected on his time spent in the company of industry greats. As a special guest on Momin Saqib’s show Had Kardi, Javed recounted stories from his time spent on set with Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh.
The Na Maloom Afraad actor revealed the performers’ amiable and playful sides, highlighting their genuine friendship and humble demeanor. Javed recalled that during their time on set together, Akshay made a joke accusing him of theft. The actor from Wrong No. said that Akshay was the most playful person he’d ever met, and he told a story of a joke that Akshay pulled on him while filming Housefull.
Javed Sheikh explained, “I owned a Cartier gold and silver watch, which caught Akshay’s attention,” and went on to joke about how Akshay had once assumed the watch was his. “I told you not to give my watch to Sheikh Saab!” he roared at the spot boy. “Everyone was having a nervous breakdown.”

Javed finally worked up the nerve to approach the superstar when he observed Shah Rukh lighting up a cigarette beside his black coffee at the table. He begged the Don actor politely whether he might smoke and drink black coffee on set, and the actor obliged.
Without hesitation, he told the spot boys to set up a table next to him so he could smoke cigarettes while he worked. “It allowed us to strengthen our friendship.”
Before the ban on Pakistani actors in 2016, Javed appeared in Om Shanti Om alongside Shah Rukh and in Namaste London alongside Akshay. He was most recently seen earlier this year in the star-studded heist flick Money Back Guarantee, starring Mikaal Zulfiqar, Fawad Khan, Ayesha Omar, and Wasim Akram.
