Social media users and admirers of the late Bollywood actor have been captivated by photos and videos showing a purported resemblance to Sushant Singh Rajput.

Donim Ayaan, the man who claims to be Sushant’s doppelganger, posted videos of himself to Instagram in which he looks strikingly like the M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story actor. Fans flocked to Ayaan’s website to see the likeness for themselves, and his films swiftly racked up millions of views as they went viral.

Donim’s striking resemblance to Sushant initially fooled people, but they soon realized something was off. Many people said he used artificial intelligence to make himself seem like Sushant, or at least more like the late actor. People were already suspicious of Donim Ayaan because he had posted a video of himself acting like a resurrected Sushant on June 26, 2023, but the lack of earlier activity on his profile only added fuel to the fire.

Fans and internet users assume that Donim’s videos are AI-generated and have accused him of manipulating Sushant to acquire fame, although he has never verified or denied using AI to appear as Sushant’s identical twin in his videos.

On June 14, 2020, authorities found Sushant Singh Rajput, a promising young actor, dead from suicide. He was 34 years old. Although his life was cut short too soon, his 12 film credits will always be remembered for their contributions to the film industry. His best-known works include the novels Detective Byomkesh Bakshy and MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and the films Drive and Kedarnath. His final film, 2020’s Dil Bechara, was released after his death.
