Priyanka Chopra Jonas is rapidly maturing into a true Renaissance woman. The star, who has two new films set for release this year (Love Again and Citadel), has teamed up with Amazon Studios once again, this time with John Cena and Idris Elba for a film titled Heads of State, according to Deadline.

Chopra herself took to Instagram to reveal her current endeavour, posting a screenshot of the exclusive piece that she had with Deadline. The Quantico star ended her post with “On to the next endeavour” and tagged her former coworkers.

The story has been billed as “a mix between the popular flicks Air Force One and Midnight Run,” but most of the specifics have been kept under wraps. The article also claims that filming for the movie will begin in May 2023. Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec co-wrote the story for Heads of State, which Ilya Naishuller will direct, using an outline that Harrison Query created.

As an actor, producer, and director, Chopra has been honoured with numerous awards and has acted in more than 60 films worldwide. In February of 2021, she also became a New York Times bestseller author for her memoir Unfinished. The highly anticipated spy thriller series Citadel, starring Chopra, Richard Madden, Leslie Manville, and Stanley Tucci, will launch on April 28 on Prime Video.

Showrunner Anthony Russo recently praised Chopra’s physical skills, saying that her character drives most of the action in the show while Madden’s character has to play catch-up. The male protagonist is the norm in this type of story. Inverting it was, therefore, what piqued our interest. Priyanka has incredible physical potential. According to Russo, “she is a badass in front of the camera, and she kicks a lot of asses in the show.”

The Bajirao Mastani actor will next be featured in Love Again, a comedy-drama film written and directed by James Strouse that will be released in the United States before Citadel. She has a supporting role in the 2021 Netflix Oscar nominee, The White Tiger.

Chopra’s production company, Purple Pebble Productions, has partnered with Paramount Global to make original content for their platform that focuses on diversity and inclusion. They also have a first-look film and TV deal with Amazon Studios. The Dostana star has proven that she is prepared to take on the world and make her aspirations a reality.
