A-listers Zendaya and Gigi Hadid sent shock waves through the fashion industry after they went to the opening of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai, India. The two put on displays of perfect style in traditional Indian outfits created by well-known Indian couture houses.
Rahul Mishra’s violet sari for Zendaya was the talk of the event with its elaborate embroidery and dramatic train. A gold bralette embellished with gold sequin leaves topped off the outfit. The actor sent a statement expressing his admiration for the outstanding cast.
Even more fitting for such a glamorous event was the Gigi Hadid wearing Chikankari sari and jewel-encrusted top by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. The supermodel posted on social media about how grateful she was to the designers for the opportunity to wear their stunning costumes. The female artisans who helped create the outfit were also praised.
The model Gigi Hadid and Zendaya shared photos from the event on Sunday and wrote, “The NMACC Gala was a celebration of Indian craftsmanship. Its inspiration on fashion internationally, with the opening of the exhibit ‘India in Fashion. The Impact of Indian Dress and Textiles on the Fashionable Imagination,’ curated by the iconic Hamish Bowles! Having the opportunity to show off Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla’s masterwork was a great thrill for me. For the rest of my life, I will remember that said Gigi Hadid.
She then wrote on her Instagram stories about the meaning of the sari she wore and how much she liked the designer. I appreciate your positive spirit so much. Thanks to you and everyone on your team!” Gigi wrote.
But Zendaya posted a photo of herself and an American fashion designer. And stylist Law Roach to her Instagram account, captioning it, “Such a great evening.” It was a blessing that my family and friends could join me.
The actor said, “Thank you, Rahul Mishra, for your wonderful work.” We appreciate the opportunity to wear your creations again.
