Gerard Pique finally discussed the “difficult” breakup that he and his ex-girlfriend had been publicly discussing for nine months.
The athlete confirmed in a recent interview that he has been affected by the breakup but has no plans to clean up his public image. Gerard Pique said, in reference to his duties as a parent, “Everyone has their responsibility to do what’s best for their kids.” Milan and Sasha are the joys of his life. A primary concern is keeping them safe. That’s the responsibility of every parent. That’s my job as a dad, and that’s what I’m concentrating on right now.
After being pressed for more information, the football player said, “I don’t want to comment” when asked about Shakira and the breakup.
Gerard Pique also spoke about his recent relationship with Clara Chia Marti. Whom he reportedly dated while working with Shakira and who made Instagram official in January of this year.
In other words, the problem lies in how the press presents the news to the public. To this day, I pursue my own interests. I plan to always be honest with myself. He said, “I’m not going to waste money on cleaning up my image.”
Those closest to me are the ones I worry about the most and are most likely to love. The rest is irrelevant to me. Focusing my time and resources on those closest to me is where my focus should be. I am overjoyed. Gerard pique and Shakira have been shifts in life, but I’ve always managed to keep my joy.
It’s important to remember that in June of last year, Shakira and Gerard Pique announced their breakup through a joint statement from their PR firm.
They had been together since 2011, and Shakira, 45, and Gerard Pique, 35, have a son named Milan and a daughter named Sasha.
