Dharmendra Passes Away: Shah Rukh Khan, Govinda, Ranveer Singh & Deepika Padukone Pay Their Final Respects

Bollywood icons Shah Rukh Khan, Govinda, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone were among the first to arrive at Mumbai’s Pawan Hans Crematorium. They came to bid a final farewell after Dharmendra’s death to the legendary Dharmendra. The news of Dharmendra’s death spread quickly. This drew many celebrities to the crematorium.

Veteran actor Dharmendra, fondly known as the He-Man of Indian Cinema, passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 89. After battling health complications for over three weeks, the beloved star breathed his last. This left the film industry and fans worldwide in deep mourning. As the news broke, several celebrities rushed to the crematorium to honour the cinematic legend.

Shah Rukh Khan was seen at the funeral. He was offering his condolences while covering his head with a white beanie. Govinda, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone were also spotted. They paid their respects at the cremation site after hearing about Dharmendra’s death.

Ranveer Singh shared the screen with Dharmendra in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani. He had earlier expressed admiration for the veteran actor. Dharmendra played Ranveer’s grandfather in the film. The Dhurandhar actor also shared a heartfelt picture of Dharmendra on Instagram as a tribute.

Other notable Bollywood stars present at the last rites included Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Salim Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, and Jackie Shroff. Aamir Khan, Shabana Azmi, Saira Bano, and many more were also there to pay their respects after Dharmendra’s death.

Dharmendra’s health had worsened over the past few weeks. His final appearance on the silver screen will be in Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming film Ikkis.

Ikkis marks the theatrical debut of Agastya Nanda. He is the grandson of Dharmendra’s Sholay co-star and friend Amitabh Bachchan. The film is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. It revolves around the Battle of Basantar during the 1971 India–Pakistan War. Dharmendra plays the role of Khetarpal’s father.
