Spotify has selected singer-songwriter Shae Gill as its RADAR Pakistan featured artist for 2026, recognising her rising popularity, unique vocal style, and expanding global listenership. She is known for seamlessly blending modern sounds with traditional influences. As a result, Shae Gill continues to make her mark on Pakistan’s contemporary music scene and beyond.

As part of the announcement, Spotify is spotlighting her latest Punjabi release, “Insecurity.” The track stays true to its title and explores themes of vulnerability and self-reflection. It has already crossed 256,000 streams and is steadily gaining traction among listeners.

Spotify will also chronicle Shae Gill’s creative journey through a mini-docuseries, produced under its global artist development initiative. The series will offer insights into her personal and professional evolution as an independent artist.

Over the past month, Shae Gill has seen a noticeable rise in international streams. The United States, United Kingdom, Bangladesh, and Canada have emerged as some of her top listener markets. In addition, her 2025 releases, including “Gila” and “Staring At Me,” have further strengthened her growing presence in the global music landscape.

Sharing her excitement, Shae Gill said she is grateful for the recognition. She also views the RADAR spotlight as a valuable learning experience. She added that her current focus is on developing solo material, refining her sound, and connecting with audiences who resonate with her music.

Rutaba Yaqub, Spotify’s Artist & Label Partnerships Manager for Pakistan and the UAE, highlighted Shae Gill’s artistic momentum. She noted that tracks like Insecurity allow her vocals and songwriting to truly stand out. Moreover, she added that Spotify’s RADAR platform is designed to support artists at pivotal moments in their careers by amplifying their reach and creative growth.

RADAR Pakistan is part of Spotify’s global RADAR initiative, a program dedicated to supporting emerging artists with increased visibility and development opportunities. The program is active across 183 countries, and has helped over 1,000 artists connect with wider, international audiences.
