Veteran writer and director Hafeez Tahir, the creator of Pakistan’s iconic fantasy TV series Ainak Wala Jin, has strongly criticized the recently released AI-generated film adaptation. Tahir revealed that although he later sold the broadcasting rights to a private television channel, he was never approached by the filmmakers before the AI-based adaptation was released. According to him, the use of artificial intelligence has significantly altered the original characters, voices, and soundtrack. This change has stripped the project of its authenticity. “My iconic character has been completely changed. The original voices and music have been replaced with AI-generated versions, damaging a story that audiences loved for decades,” Tahir said.
