“Chakkar,” a film starring Yasir Nawaz, Neelum Muneer, and Ahsan Khan, has just released a trailer, and it raises a lot of eyebrows. It’s Eid al-Fitr, and Chakkar promises a murder mystery with all the flavor that viewers have come to expect from a film.
In this multi-starrer, produced by Nida Yasir and Yasir Nawaz under the Farid Nawaz Productions label, we follow the story of two identical twin sisters, one of them (Zara) is fully immersed in the world of glitter and glamor, much to the dismay of the other twin’s husband (Khan).
Yasir Nawaz’s directorial effort takes an unusual turn when Khan’s wife switches places with her brother’s twin during filming while he is abroad. While one wonders how that tension alone would play out.
There are several suspicions at play, so the inquiry starts in earnest now. In the end, Khan also becomes a suspect because of his hostile attitude toward Zara and their interpersonal disputes.
This allows her to address the industry’s significant changes head-on. As soon as a murder occurs, the whole world believes it was Zara who was assassinated.
Yasir Nawaz’s character is in charge of the inquiry, and the teaser is filled with action sequences, giving viewers a taste of what’s to come when the movie is released.
If one assumes that the whole film is loaded with sad tones, there are enough humorous moments dispersed throughout to correct this presumption.
According to a recent interview, the humour in this project is “situational,” and “the funny value matches the character it’s on.”
Due to its unique combination of romance and mystery, this picture has already distinguished itself apart from the others. We’re all anxiously awaiting the release of Chakkar on Eid-ul-Fitr to see whether it genuinely does leave us all speechless.
