Brad Pitt Seeks Angelina Jolie’s Film Earnings in Ongoing Château Miraval Legal Battle

The legal dispute between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie over the ownership of Château Miraval has taken another turn. Now, Pitt is requesting that the court order Jolie to disclose details of her movie earnings.

According to court documents cited by Us Weekly, Pitt’s legal team made the request during a hearing on July 31. They are seeking financial records that reflect Jolie’s income from films released between 2017 and 2019.

Pitt’s attorneys clarified that they are not requesting complete profit statements. Instead, they want documents showing the payments Jolie received from projects that had already become profitable during that period.

During those years, Jolie starred in several productions, including Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019).

The former Hollywood power couple has been locked in a legal battle over Château Miraval, the French winery they jointly owned from 2008 until 2021. Pitt previously alleged that both parties had agreed not to sell their ownership interests without each other’s consent.

Jolie has disputed that claim, arguing no such agreement existed. She also alleged that Pitt refused to purchase her share unless she signed a non-disclosure agreement.

Jolie’s legal representatives maintain that her film earnings have no relevance to the winery dispute. Furthermore, they argue that the actress deliberately stepped back from her career for several years. She sacrificed significant income in the process.

Pitt’s lawyers, however, believe the financial records are necessary to provide context to Jolie’s claims regarding coercion and economic pressure.

Jolie’s legal team rejected that reasoning, calling it an unsupported legal theory. They insist that separating from a former spouse should not be interpreted as evidence of financial hardship.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie separated in 2016, with their divorce officially finalized in December 2024. Their legal dispute over Château Miraval, however, continues.
