Moreover, this Ramayana trailer review delves into the stunning visuals, powerful performances, and epic musical score. These elements have already taken social media by storm.
Running just over four minutes, the trailer showcases the grandeur of ancient Ayodhya and the majestic kingdom of Lanka. It highlights the film’s massive scale and cinematic ambition.
One of the biggest highlights is Yash’s commanding debut as Raavan. Clad in elaborate golden armor with an intimidating screen presence, the actor delivers a fierce and regal portrayal of the legendary king of Lanka. As a result, he instantly captures viewers’ attention.
Opposite him, Ranbir Kapoor steps into the role of Lord Rama, portraying the prince with calm determination, dignity, and unwavering courage. The trailer follows Rama’s transformation from a devoted son to a fearless warrior. He is determined to fulfill his destiny.
Sai Pallavi makes a graceful appearance as Sita, bringing elegance and emotional depth to the character. Her wedding sequence with Rama is visually captivating. Additionally, a brief action moment hints at a stronger interpretation of the iconic role.
The trailer also introduces several key characters, including Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, and Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha. Meanwhile, Sunny Deol’s much-anticipated portrayal of Lord Hanuman remains under wraps. This suggests a larger role in the sequel.
Adding to the grandeur is the film’s extraordinary soundtrack, marking the first-ever collaboration between Oscar-winning composers A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer, whose music elevates every moment of the trailer.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana: Part 1 is scheduled for a grand theatrical release during Diwali 2026.
