Vijay Deverakonda raises donations through from fans to help more than 4000 families amid Lockdown

Telugu superstar Vijay Deverakonda is doing his bit in this global health crisis to support the families who have been impacted amid the lockdown. Due to the coronavirus outbreak and lockdown, many have lost their livelihood. The actor revealed that he has raised Rs. 40 lakhs through fan donations to help more than 4,000 families.

The Deverakonda Foundation set up a fund called Middle-Class Fund with Rs. 25 lakhs donation from the actor’s end. Taking to Twitter on Monday, he said, “Today what I saw was magical. Mass care, mass love, mass generosity. Each one of you, this #MiddleClassFund and its success belongs to you. I promise I will not let you down, we will reach out to each and everyone who reaches out to us and we shall all enjoy the happy smiles that shine back at us.”

“In a day you made my 25 lakhs into 40+ lakhs. Together we have now reset our goal of 2000+ families to 4000+ families,” he added.

The website revealed, “We’ve set up a dedicated fund with an aim to provide relief to affected middle-class families during the COVID crisis. The fund will help affected families buy basic groceries and essential food items. We’re currently providing relief only in AP and Telangana. Update on relief in other states will be announced shortly.”

Vijay Deverakonda has already donated to several charities and Telangana Police who have been tirelessly working during this time.
