Speaking during an acceptance speech at an NDTV event, where he received an award for his portrayal of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in Chhaava, Vicky expressed gratitude. He shared a heartfelt glimpse into his new reality as a father. He dedicated the award to his family and his son, calling the child a true blessing.
The actor revealed that it was the first time he had to leave the city for work after becoming a father. He admitted that the experience was emotionally challenging. “This is the first time I’ve travelled out of town after becoming a father, and it was very tough,” he said. He added that he hopes his son will one day feel proud watching him receive accolades.
Vicky also spoke about the overwhelming joy of having a newborn at home. He described the phase as magical and deeply fulfilling. He shared that everything still feels new and blissful, and that the emotions are hard to put into words. Expressing gratitude, he said that God has been extremely kind and that the entire family is filled with happiness.
Lightening the moment, Vicky joked that since becoming a dad, he feels he has become “better at changing diapers than acting.” This drew laughter from the audience.
