Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas revealed their daughter on Monday. At the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where the Jonas Brothers received their star, they revealed Malti Marie’s face to fans and media. Nick, Kevin, Joe, Priyanka, Sophie Turner, and Danielle Jonas attended the ceremony honoring them.
Priyanka wore a midi-length, dark brown bodycon dress with a raised neckline. The actor wore printed brown heels, a diamond ring, dainty bracelets, and double hoop earrings. Her daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, looked adorable in an off-white tweed jacket, skirt, and headband. Since then, mother-daughter photos have circulated online.
Many see the Quantico star’s daughter, who turned one this month, on her mother’s lap. Surrogacy gave Priyanka and Nick Malti last year.
Priyanka has posted several photos with Malti, but never her face. Priyanka’s photo with Malti’s face turned away dividing the internet. A user accused her of “propping” her daughter. Many wondered why she included her daughter in her photos if she didn’t want to show her face. Fans backed Priyanka, stating that it was her “right and choice.”
She was still criticized for choosing surrogacy over motherhood. Priyanka told British Vogue, “I had medical complications.” I’m grateful I was able to take this necessary step. I’m unknown. You don’t know my story. You can’t make up reasons why I don’t want my medical history to be public. I’ve guarded my daughter’s chapter. It’s not about me. Hers too.”
