Pakistan beat New Zealand by seven wickets on Wednesday and moved on to the final of the Twenty20 World Cup. Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam both scored 50 runs, which helped Pakistan win.

They will play the winner of England and India’s Thursday match in Adelaide at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on November 13.
At the Sydney Cricket Ground, Pakistan’s sharp fielding and disciplined bowling helped limit New Zealand’s total to 152-4.

Rizwan (57) and Azam (53) ripped apart the Black Caps’ famous bowling attack in a 105-run opening stand in front of 36,443 strongly pro-Pakistan spectators, and despite a tense finish after both fell, they completed a well-deserved victory with five balls to spare.

Pakistan won the title for the last time in 2009 at Lord’s in England, against Sri Lanka, by eight wickets. Since then, the team has been through a lot of ups and downs in Australia to get to the final.
They lost to India and Zimbabwe in the group stage but beat the Netherlands and South Africa in the playoffs. When the Proteas were stunned by the Dutch and Pakistan breezed past Bangladesh, they advanced against all odds.

New Zealand failed for the second time in a row to reach the T20 final and win their first tournament.

After a shaky start, he settled in and hit Bout for four, and his partner Rizwan added two more boundaries to make it a 15-run victory for New Zealand.

They continued to rip Tim Southee for 15 runs in an inning, boosting their score to 55-0 on the strength of their advantage at the plate.

Azam reached his half century before New Zealand got some hope when he was caught in the deep off Bolt, and the same bowler later got rid of Rizwan.

In spite of this, Mohammad Haris (30) and Shan Masood (3 not out) held their nerve and guided the team to victory.
