In the upcoming movie Haddi, famous actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui will make his first appearance as a transgender person. His first look as a transgender person shocked and divided people. The picture of his character quickly went viral, and Bollywood fans were amazed by his change and gave him a lot of praise.

But making the look for the movie took a long time. According to the Times of India, it took the film’s team nearly six months to finish. Raadhika Nanda, who was one of the directors of the movie along with Sanjay Saha, talked about the problems they had in the beginning. She said that the first time she put a saree on Nawazuddin, it took about 30 minutes, and that the whole process took about three hours.

Nanda went on to say that Nawazuddin had never worn a saree before. And he had to stay in the same saree for hours while filming. The team also used prosthetics to make the figure look more real. But they tried to keep the look as natural as possible. Nanda said, “This is the first time Siddiqui has worn a sari. He would shoot for hours while wearing the same sari. We also used limbs, but the goal was to make it look as real as possible.”

She also said, “During the whole shoot, we used about 80 sarees. This helped him get a better sense of his character. He knew how hard it was for a woman to get up every day in that outfit and do jobs around the house. The movie looks at the past and present of Indian transgender people. According to Indian news sources, it will be out by the end of June. IMDb, on the other hand, says that it will come out on July 15, 2023.
