It seems like there’s been some movement on the 3 Idiots sequel! After seeing a viral photo of Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, and R Madhavan at a ‘press conference,’ Kapoor recently posted a video to Instagram in which she expressed her concerns about the sequel.
When Kareena first saw the footage, she said, “I can’t believe this!” What are they going to do without me?” The actor who played the villainous principal in the 2009 film Heroine also tagged Boman Irani, saying, “Have you, Boman Irani, been kept in the dark?
In the video, you can hear Kareena talk about the “3 Idiots” poster that is hanging in the background. Aamir, Madhavan, and Sharman are all wearing red t-shirts in the photo, and they are seated at a table with the word “idiots” written behind them.
When Kapoor was on holiday, she seemed to have confirmed a 3 Idiots sequel, as she says in the video. In the clip, she can be heard saying, “I just got to know that when I was on holiday that these three were up to something. This press conference video is from the mystery these three refuse to reveal. Please don’t tell me this is all part of some elaborate movie marketing with Sharman Ka.”
She continued by saying, “They’ll probably return for the sequel. But just the three of them, and not me? I seriously doubt that Boman is aware of this. I just had to give Boman a call to see what’s cooking (aakhir chal kya raha hai yaar). There are definitely the makings of a sequel here.
Her adoring public appeared as taken aback as Kapoor. OMG!” exclaimed one of the fans. “Oh, my good lord,” another user commented. Oh, my gosh. Not without you, another was added emphatically. A sequel without you? Never!” someone else exclaimed. God, I hope it’s a good sequel,” another user said.
A whole generation of young people has now seen the movie since its 2009 release thanks to its devoted fan base. Even after so many repeats on TV, “3 Idiots” is still a fan favorite.
In 2018, director Rajkumar Hirani said that there would be a sequel. During an interview for his new film, Sanju, Hirani was quizzed on a particular topic. A sequel to “3 Idiots” is something I would like to create. Indeed, a few days ago, writer Abhijat Joshi and I began working on a project. But we’re just getting started, and it’ll take us a while to build the script,” he was quoted as saying.
