A film adaptation titled Umro Ayyar: A New Beginning will introduce audiences to the story of the beloved Dastan-e-Amir Hamza figure Umro Ayyar. Sanam Saeed, who plays the lead role, will be joined by an ensemble cast. In an effort to bring Umro Ayyar’s enchanted stories to life for viewers in Pakistan and beyond.
“Today’s youth require hearing tales from Urdu literature… We can find examples of interesting people and interesting tales everywhere.” If we don’t reconnect with our Urdu literature, it will die,” Saeed warns. There hasn’t been a mainstream superhero movie starring a real-life hero. There haven’t been many scenes in which I performed stunts or acted in front of a green screen. The movie relies heavily on visual effects. She continues, “There were trainers who came to the site to instruct us, and a stunt director and coordinator who flew in from overseas to teach us.
Azfar Jafri, the film’s director, highlights the deliberate decision to adopt a modern approach. Leading to the misunderstanding that these ideas are wholly original. According to Arab News, Jafri claimed that certain Western books and films include ideas drawn from Umro Ayyar’s verse. This causes young people to assume that these thoughts are wholly their own. We decided to make a movie about Umro Ayyar because we wanted to show people where the ideas came from.
This features tales of magic, adventure, and intrigue.
