Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is expected to repeat his phenomenal success at the box office with this year’s Jawan. Filmfare claims that many reviewers and moviegoers anticipate that Jawan will do well at the box office after its September release.
The media outlet also said that the production budget for Jawan was a massive INR 300 crore, making it the most costly film in which SRK has appeared to date.
The seasoned Tamil director Atlee Kumar helmed the high-octane action thriller, which he co-produced with Red Chillies Entertainment. Gauri Khan, wife of SRK and co-founder of the production company, oversaw the film’s production. In the film, King Khan portrays a mysterious vigilante on a mission to settle a score.
Tamil cinema stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi co-star with Bollywood’s perennial hotties and heroes. Both of them, along with Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, and Ridhi Dogra, will reportedly have significant roles in the film. Deepika Padukone has a cameo in the film as well.
A visual feast for fans of action movies and SRK, Jawan is set for release on September 7, 2023. The trailer gives a taste of the film’s big action set pieces, with SRK front and center in each shot. The trailer reveals little about the plot, but it does show us that the actor will be transforming into a variety of avatars. The hero, may be veiled, totally bandaged, or even bald. Those who may have some traits in common with anti-heroes will have a romantic side.
The King of Bollywood will be in more movies than just Pathaan and Jawan this year. Dunki, in which he stars with Taapsee Pannu, will also hit theaters in late December.
