The official song from the upcoming Bollywood film The Lipstick Boy in Mumbai has been released on all online digital music platforms, including YouTube, across the country and around the world under the banner of On India Click Music. The Raunda Naha tradition of Bihar served as inspiration for the film. I’m happy to report that Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, has joined me in congratulating the entire cast and crew, including director Abhinav Thakur.

Bhikari Thakur and dance have historically been inseparable in the Bhojpuri region. There is a long history of folk theatre in India. For the rural and urban peasant laborers of that civilization. Launda dancing was the most extreme form of expression and entertainment.

The film Lipstick Boy is based on the life of Bihar’s most well-known Launda dancer, Kumar Uday Singh. Who has spent the last few years reviving not only the dance form but also the challenges of all the artists in Bihar who perform it.

His best wishes and blessings to the film’s director, Deepak Sawant, and producer, Nikunj Shekhar. Even Virender Sehwag, the cricket star, and Renuka Sahane, the brilliant actress, have spoken highly of it.

Everyone will soon be able to see the trailer and find out when this month.
