Indian actress Disha Patani has shared insights into her experience working with Academy Award-winning actor and filmmaker Kevin Spacey in her upcoming international film, Holiguards Saga: The Portal of Force. Speaking ahead of the film’s release, Disha praised Spacey’s collaborative approach to filmmaking while also revealing the challenges of building a career in Hollywood.
Disha described Spacey as a director who encourages actors to trust their instincts and bring authentic emotions to every scene. Rather than asking performers to simply follow the script, she said he motivates them to draw from personal experiences to create more natural performances.
According to Disha, Spacey spent time with the cast every morning, discussing scenes in detail and helping actors better understand their characters before filming. She said this hands-on approach made the creative process more meaningful and allowed actors to take greater ownership of their performances.
The actress also addressed the reality of breaking into Hollywood, explaining that success depends on much more than talent. She noted that securing the right representation, attending auditions, obtaining visas, and being physically present in the industry are all essential parts of landing international roles.
Disha added that while online auditions are possible, relocating or spending time in the country significantly improves opportunities for actors hoping to establish themselves in global cinema.
After appearing in Welcome to the Jungle, Disha is set to star alongside Emraan Hashmi in Awarapan 2 before making her Hollywood debut in Holiguards Saga: The Portal of Force, which also features Kevin Spacey, Dolph Lundgren, and Tyrese Gibson.
