A new teaser for season 8 of Koffee With Karan features Karan unconcernedly drinking his coffee. The plot thickens, though, when his Konscience (like conscience, but with a ‘K’) suddenly appears and starts talking to him openly about the next season. The commercial alludes to the fact that Karan is cognizant of the past negative feedback and remarks. But does he plan to take any action on this front?
\In the clip, Konscience satirically attacks the prior season, calling it “cold” and “boring” due to the monotony of the dialogues. Karan’s expression of astonishment is clear as he wonders if someone has put something in his coffee. In response, Konscience makes a light-hearted remark, wondering aloud whether or not someone has sprinkled “perspective” into his coffee this time.
As the teasing of Karan continues, Konscience makes fun of the show’s subject matter and challenges the humor in jokes about “nepo babies.” He jokes that he wants to know if the intended audience found these gags amusing. The conversation heats up as Konscience criticizes the previous episodes for being too similar and the host, at age 50, is seen as being too old to be interested in the sexual lives of young adults. You know he’s being sarcastic when he asks, “Is it because you don’t have a sex life of your own?”
As the debate continues, KJo concedes that he could have done better, prompting Konscience to imply that Karan was preoccupied with advertising spectacles and hair tints. Karan, newly inspired by this information, immediately begins discussing the upcoming season. The attention shifts from the celebrity offspring to the celebrity grandchildren, and he can’t wait to invite newlyweds and cricketers.
When Karan posted the clever advertisement to Instagram, he said, “Turns out, my own Konscience wants to troll me too!” Whatever he thinks, though, Season 8 is still in the works! Season 8 of Koffee With Karan premieres on Hotstar exclusively on Disney+ on October 26.
