Tabish Hashmi

Popular television host and comedian Tabish Hashmi is all set to step into films with his feature debut in Aag Lagay Basti Mein. In this film, he will be seen playing a negative character for the first time in his career.

Widely recognised for his sharp humour and engaging hosting style, Hashmi rose to fame through his comedy talk show. On this show, he has interviewed some of Pakistan’s most prominent political, cultural and entertainment personalities. Prior to his television success, he built his reputation as a stand-up comedian. As a stand-up comedian, he earned praise for his effortless comic timing and observational humour.

The upcoming film is also significant as it marks actor Fahad Mustafa’s return to the big screen. Aag Lagay Basti Mein is Mustafa’s first project as a producer, and he stars in the film opposite Mahira Khan. The combination of a star-studded cast and Hashmi’s acting debut has already created considerable buzz among fans.

Addressing questions about nerves during a recent public appearance, Hashmi responded with his trademark wit. He joked that Fahad Mustafa had more reason to be anxious since he had invested in the project. “I’ve done my part with what I was given,” he said, prompting laughter from the audience.

With Tabish Hashmi taking on a villainous role, audiences are eager to see a new side of the comedian. He is transitioning from television hosting to the silver screen.
