Khalilur Rehman Qamar, a prominent Pakistani screenwriter and director, recently declared that the nation would not find another person like him, expressing profound disappointment following a recent scandal.

In a candid interview with a private channel, Qamar remarked, “There was only one Bulleh Shah, only one Saadat Hasan Manto, and there is only one Khalilur Rehman Qamar. This nation will not find another like me.”

Reflecting on a harrowing experience where he was held hostage for seven hours and repeatedly forced to recite the Kalima while gunshots were fired nearby, Qamar shared that he is now questioning whether he should continue living in the country.

Despite his current state of disillusionment, Qamar stressed that he has never harbored hatred for his homeland and continues to pray for the strength to remain, as he cannot envision life without it.

He also expressed concern over the rising inflation in the country, highlighting how people are being crushed under economic pressures, leaving them with difficult choices, such as selling their own or someone else’s skin.

In conclusion, Qamar reaffirmed his support for Maria B, who is actively working to preserve Islamic values, stating that he stands with her in this important mission.
