Faisalabad singer Hira Qaiser has been crowned the winner of Pakistan Idol 2026, taking home a cash prize of Rs1.5 million following an emotional grand finale on Sunday.
Hira, who comes from a middle-class background, won over both viewers and the judging panel with her powerful vocals, consistent performances and growing confidence throughout the competition.
The singer’s victory became an emotional moment when she stepped onto the stage carrying her baby boy to receive the winning trophy from host Shafaat Ali. Overcome with emotion, Hira accepted the award as the venue erupted in celebrations and confetti.
Several prominent Pakistani stars and musicians joined the celebrations, including Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Atif Aslam, Bilal Maqsood, Zeb Bangash and Fawad Khan, who congratulated the newly crowned winner.
After her victory, Hira expressed her gratitude to Pakistan Idol and everyone who supported her journey. She described the win as an unforgettable moment and said she was extremely happy to have achieved the title.
For her final performance, Hira performed a song by Mekaal Hasan, earning praise from Atif Aslam and the other judges. Her performance showcased the vocal strength and stage presence that had helped her emerge as one of the season’s strongest contestants.
The grand finale also featured finalists Maham Tahir, Waqar Hussain, Tarab Nafees, Samya Gohar and Aryan Naveed Bhatti. The other finalists were reportedly awarded Rs500,000 each for reaching the final stage of the competition.
With her victory, Hira Qaiser has officially joined the list of Pakistan Idol winners, ending the 2026 season on an emotional and celebratory note.
