Pictures and videos from cricket sensation Shaheen Afridi and Ansha Afridi’s opulent wedding celebrations began appearing online on Tuesday night, setting off quite a frenzy on social media.
The Baraat event was a magnificent, red-themed celebration organized by well-known event management and design business Ayra Events by Sana Bhatti and held at Karachi’s iconic wedding venue, Andalusian Banquets.
Although photographs of the bride’s face have been strictly prohibited, Fatima Tariq and her team, the official photographers for the event, have shared a shot of the newlyweds with Shahid Afridi on their Instagram page. From behind, we can see both dads and granddads in the photo. Shahid Afridi is holding his daughter and son-in-law in his arms.

The Mayun and Mehndi ceremonies were held prior to the main wedding ceremony. The Furqans Salon, a beauty salon in Karachi, posted a video of Ansha getting ready for her Mehndi ceremony.
To protect the bride’s anonymity, the film was shot from behind, and all that could be seen of her was her green, floral wedding dress. Each of the three garments featured a colorful flowery pattern printed digitally, and the dupatta was further adorned with embroidered flower embellishments.
Ansha wore a red, lavishly embroidered bridal gown by Republic Womenswear to her baraat, while her husband wore a champagne-gold prince coat with an ivory kurta and trousers.
Babar Azam, the current captain of the Pakistan national cricket team, and many other famous personalities and Pakistani celebrities attended the wedding. Sawera Pasha, a well-known broadcaster, was spotted at the event, along with Shaista Lodhi and Javeria Saud. Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui, and Fahad Mustafa, three of Pakistan’s biggest movie actors, were also there. AIjaz Aslam and Junaid Khan, two actors, were also spotted on stage taking photos and selfies with the groom.
