Pakistani Celebrities Voice Support for Indian Students Amid Protest Movement

In recent headlines, Pakistani celebrities support Indian students by expressing solidarity with student protesters in India, with public figures including Maya Khan, Azfar Rehman, Bilal Qureshi and rapper Talha Anjum speaking out amid growing demonstrations over alleged examination paper leaks and calls for education reforms.

The student-led movement, which reportedly began with concerns over alleged exam paper leaks, has expanded into a broader campaign demanding transparency, accountability and changes within the education system.

As demonstrations gained momentum, reports of clashes in some areas also emerged, drawing attention from celebrities and public figures on both sides of the border.

Actor Azfar Rehman shared a video showing what appeared to be police action against protesting students. Condemning the alleged treatment of the demonstrators, he criticised the authorities and expressed concern over the reported use of force against young protesters.

Television host Maya Khan also voiced her support for the student movement, praising today’s youth as informed and aware. Her message emphasised solidarity with students regardless of their nationality.

Actor Bilal Qureshi joined the conversation as well, expressing empathy for young people facing difficult circumstances and writing, “I can feel the pain of this generation, here and there.”

Rapper Talha Anjum was also among the Pakistani public figures who showed support for the protesters, adding to the growing discussion surrounding the student movement and its demands.

The statements from Pakistani celebrities have sparked conversations online, highlighting how issues involving students, education and accountability can resonate beyond national borders.
