Pakistani actress Saba Qamar has taken legal action against journalist Naeem Hanif, issuing a Rs100 million defamation notice for spreading false and damaging claims about her.
The controversy began when Hanif, during a podcast, alleged that Qamar once lived in a house in Lahore’s Walton area, supposedly provided by an unnamed individual. Responding swiftly, Qamar dismissed the accusations as “baseless and untrue,” sharing a screenshot of the podcast on Instagram and clarifying that she has never lived in Walton.

Her legal team has served a notice to both the journalist and the YouTube channel that aired the interview, demanding a public apology and content removal within seven days, or face legal proceedings.
Saba Qamar also appealed to her fans and fellow industry professionals to stand against false allegations and defend their integrity, stressing the importance of protecting one’s reputation in the face of misinformation.
