Renowned Pakistani artist Atif Aslam, celebrated for chart-topping hits like Aadat and Tera Hone Laga Hoon, has opened up about a surprising personal journey. In his latest vlog, Welcome to My Borderless World, Atif revealed he hasn’t listened to music for years, marking a transformative chapter in his life and career.
Reflecting on his early days, Atif shared how his passion for singing began as a teenager. Alone in an empty house, he would venture to an upper room to practice. “When I hit a high note, I got scared, wondering what just happened. I quickly closed the doors and came downstairs,” he recalled. Despite the initial fear, he continued his musical journey in solitude, eventually finding mentors who helped him refine his skills in singing, songwriting, and production.
“I think I was 14 when I truly began working toward singing,” Atif reminisced. He acknowledged the profound influence of music on his life: “Music has impacted my life so deeply that I can’t imagine living without it. Life would feel empty without music.” However, in a surprising twist, Atif disclosed that he hadn’t listened to music for several years, only recently rediscovering its joy.
This introspective phase aligns with the launch of Atif’s groundbreaking initiative, Borderless World. Designed to unite creative talents across the globe, the platform aims to foster collaboration among musicians, lyricists, directors, and actors. The programme promises to showcase both new and timeless tracks, spanning multiple seasons.
Atif emphasized the spirit of Borderless World, saying, “It’s not about competition; it’s about collaboration and bringing people together for the love of music.”
The initiative debuted with a star-studded event in Lahore, featuring prominent artists such as Sahir Ali Bagga, Bilal Saeed, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Saba Qamar, and Shae Gill, alongside filmmakers Bilal Lashari and Ammara Hikmat. During the launch, Atif described the platform as a “realm without creative boundaries where dreams transcend borders.”
Borderless World seeks to redefine the creative landscape, offering a global stage for emerging talent and celebrating artistic unity.
By sharing his personal journey and introducing Borderless World, Atif Aslam continues to inspire audiences worldwide, blending artistry with a vision of collaboration and inclusivity.
