WhatsApp Update: Since the year 2022, news of WhatsApp’s next features has been making the rounds. Behind the scenes, the firm is developing a number of new features, ranging from Communities to message responses. A redesigned media picker has recently been added to the list of feature testing and may soon be offered to Android users.

According to a new report from WABetaInfo, WhatsApp for Android update 2.22.4.4 has a new media selector. This is supposed to make it easier for you to choose and share content with others.

You may now choose images and movies from two independent areas, as seen in the screenshot (Recents and Gallery). Thanks to this function, you won’t have to trawl through the whole gallery to discover the photos or videos you want to share. When you try to send a photo or video to someone, WhatsApp shows you all of the photos and videos that you have.

The new media picker will allow you to choose from a variety of videos and images. It’s worth noting, though, that this new media picker is only available when picking media captured using WhatsApp’s camera. We’re hoping this feature will be reliable enough to utilize while transmitting media over chat.

According to sources, the feature is still being developed, and no timetable for its public release has been specified. We anticipate it becoming available to iOS users as well, but we have no clue when that will be.

WhatsApp is also allowing group managers to erase messages from anybody in the group in beta on Android. When a user’s message is deleted, or when a message is wiped in general, the message will say “This was removed by an administrator.”
