Recently, Fahad Mustafa asked director Nadeem Baig on a local game show who throws the most tantrums on set. The director chose Urwa Hocane out of two other women actors, Ayeza Khan, and Mehwish Hayat, in a quick-fire round.

Urwa Hocane responded to Nadeem Baig’s answer and criticized the show for promoting “formats” that incite anger “for the sake of ratings under the guise of fun” in an extended Instagram post on Friday. Hocane wrote, “It is so unfortunate that the formats of our shows are such that each member of the industry has to put the other down for the sake of ratings under the guise of fun.” Hocane claimed that she was “speaking straight from the heart” when she made this statement. Since we’ve reached this point, I’d like to explain my perspective.”

An actor addressed the producer as “Nadeem bhai” in a letter, saying, “We’ve only worked together on one project, and during that time, we disagreed on some details related to the song Lak Hilna. In the end, I decided to accept his aesthetics. On song selection, and dance moves because I could tell he wasn’t interested in a debate. Baig had previously collaborated with Hocane on the 2017 film Punjab Nahi Jaungi. Hocane played the role of Durdana Butt in the critically acclaimed film.

Urwa Hocane says that we have become less tolerant of different points of view, especially when they come from women. In distorted in the public eye. No other reason than that I like to encourage open dialogue among my coworkers on set.

Even though this limits one’s employment prospects in our niche market, I’d rather be myself because I can’t imagine being anyone else.

The actor Urwa Hocane from Udaari shared that dealing with haters is “hard enough” in the public eye. Being in the public eye makes us especially vulnerable to cyberbullying. I really hope this helps people realize the potential dangers these games pose to people’s psyches,” she said.

“Life is too short, and all one is left with is regret when it’s too late,” Urwa Hocane said. After she ended her call for people to stop bullying and instead support and celebrate each other’s efforts.

Mawra Hocane, Hocane’s sister and a fellow actress, commented on her Instagram post. She is saying, “I have personally witnessed you go through all of this and more. Constantly misrepresented and misunderstood. Most importantly, show courage despite it all. Insha’Allah, may Allah grant you the fortitude and elegance to remain at the head of the pack. And may you never forget that your success and survival ultimately rest in His hands. Urwa Hocane said, ” Don’t stop; my love for you is eternal.”

Urwa Hocane’s husband, Farhan Saeed, and Nadia Jamil, who is also an actor, commented on the post to show their support.
