The Sikhs of America strongly supported the Farmers movement

Washington D.C.: The farmer’s movement started by the farmers of Punjab in India is getting support from states like Haryana, UP, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh but now it is also getting support from abroad.

The Sikhs of America, an organization that speaks for the rights of Sikhs in the United States, has openly supported the peasant movement A meeting of the office bearers of this organization was held in DC which Jasdeep Singh Jessie Chairman, Baljinder Singh Shammi, Kamaljit Singh Soni, Dalvir Singh Bira, Gurcharan Singh, (World Bank) was specially present and it was unanimously decided that Sikhs of America will submit a memorandum to the Indian Consulate this week stating that the Modi government will accept the demands of the farmers and provide them the facilities they deserve.

Modi Government should be lenient with farmers: Jasdeep Singh Jassi

Chairman Sikhs of America Jasdeep Singh Jassie said that the farmers of Punjab were protesting on the roads this winter for their demands. Governments are the parents of the country and the people are their children. Therefore, parents must take care of possible facilities. Mr. Jassie said that the Modi Government should abandon its stubborn attitude and talk to the farmers and resolve the issue and bring peace to the country. “Today we, Sikhs of America, declare our full support for the peasant their children and provide them with every struggle,” he said.
