Thar, a vengeance thriller on Netflix, was just revealed. Thar, a film set in the 1980s, tells the narrative of Siddharth, portrayed by Harsh Vardhan Kapoor, who is inspired by Western Noir genres. Siddharth moves to Pushkar for a job, and he sets out on a trip to revenge the death of his mother. Does Pushkar have something else in store for him, or will he be disappointed if he fails? Among the cast are Anil Kapoor, Harsh Vardhan Kapoor, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Satish Kaushik, and Raj Singh Chaudhary, who also wrote and directed the movie.

AKFC Network and Netflix have long been creative collaborators, and Thar is the first film the two have cooperated on. Producer and actor Anil Kapoor said about his forthcoming film in a statement: “I am incredibly pleased of what we have done with Thar and am extremely enthusiastic about the picture for various reasons.” It’s a first for Indian film and audiences: a noir thriller set in Rajasthan that pays homage to the Western genre.
