Pakistan Super League (PSL) 7 champion Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings for the sixth time in a row. Due to their poorer net run rate, Peshawar are currently equal on points with Quetta Gladiators, but are still in fifth place. However, Karachi are on the verge of being eliminated and are seated at the bottom.
Newcomer Mohammad Haris set the tone for Peshawar’s innings with his first-class performance in the power play. His superb partnership with Hazratullah Zazai led to a total of 193/6 before Shoaib Malik and Ben Cutting hit some quickfire runs in the last overs.
Sharjeel Khan’s Early dismissal was Karachi’s third poor start in a row. They could only muster 138/6 runs in their 20 overs since they were unable to raise their scoring pace throughout their innings. It was a 55-run victory for Peshawar.
