Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone enjoy a hat-trick of blockbuster success. While speculations of their pending marriage in December continue to pick steam, the duo has reportedly signed their fourth film together with director Maneesh Sharma. After enthralling with three back to back period drama films, will the duo finally step out of the genre this time?
One of the most talked about couples of Bollywood – Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone – have been one of our favorite on-screen and offscreen jodis. When not mesmerizing us with their crackling chemistry on the silver screen, the curiosity and the buzz around their alleged relationship makes our heart flutter with joy. As speculations of their pending marriage in December continues to break the internet, a report by a leading online entertainment portal suggests that DeepVeer has signed their fourth film together. Aditya Chopra, the head honcho of Yash Raj Films, has roped in Ranveer and Deepika for an upcoming project, reports Bollywoodhungama.com
YRF is known for its mushy and passionate romantic films that transfer you to a fairytale, however, Ranveer and Deepika have only collaborated for period films. Love sagas, but historical ones. Thus, it’d be interesting to see if the couple will resonate their offscreen camaraderie, which we absolutely adore by the way, full of fun, cute PDA, and flirtatious exchanges over the 70 mm big screen. The report by the portal further states that the project will be directed by Maneesh Sharma, who has earlier directed Ranveer in his debut vehicle Band Baaja Baaraat and later in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl. After the humongous success of Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat, looks like Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s favorite muses have found a new admirer.
While Aditya Chopra was always keen on producing a Ranveer Singh starrer, his alleged ladylove was only brought onboard after one of her forthcoming films was postponed, reports Bollywoodhungama.com. Soon after Padmaavat, Deepika Padukone was to kickstart Vishal Bhardwaj’s film alongside Irrfan Khan. However, after Irrfan was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor, the film was put on hold thereby making time for Deepika to take up another film.
Meanwhile, the lovebirds are busy grabbing headlines with their marriage reports. Work is what is keeping Ranveer and Deepika busy at the moment, he told Spice Route magazine, adding that the 32-year-old actress is also recovering from physical discomfort. And if the date is finalized in the first place, prepare yourself to hear Ranveer “shouting from the rooftops.” Ranveer and Deepika, co-star of films Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat, reportedly started dating in 2013, and unsurprisingly, never admitted it.
Ranveer Singh is filming Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy with Alia Bhatt and is expected to wrap up work on 1983 before his film with Deepika goes on floors. Both Ranveer and Deepika were last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat.
