Quetta Gladiators beat Karachi Kings by eight wickets in their opening encounter of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 7 season.
Ahsan Ali and Will Smeed, the Gladiators’ openers, guided the run-chase with ease. After winning one of their first two matches, Quetta has risen to second place. However, Karachi is at the bottom of the standings after suffering its second straight defeat.
Quetta’s bowling unit controlled the proceedings at the National Stadium Karachi, and the hosts’ batsmen never got going. After being knocked out for 113, Karachi recorded their fourth-lowest PSL total ever. In his first five-wicket haul in the PSL, Naseem Shah demolished the opposing batting line-up.
