The 28-year old scored two unbeaten half-centuries in the first and the third T20I which saw him bounce over the Indian opener, Rohit Sharma, West Indian opener, Evin Lewis, and England captain, Eoin Morgan, to break through into the top ten.
Rizwan is the second Pakistani batsman to be ranked amongst the top ten, with captain Babar Azam currently ranked as the number three batsman in the world.
Rizwan has accumulated 640 rating points and is 44 points behind 9th placed Kiwi opener, Martin Guptill.
