“Let’s Build a Dam!” Story by Saba Rehman

Nowadays every second child is busy in playing games on his/her tablets or sitting on the computer is almost a favorite hobby of kids.

But in small villages of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, some kids are gearing up their selves by building up the “Muddy dams” These small kids’ ages of 3 to 6 are busy in their village and building muddy dams.

When I asked one of them that what are you up to, he replied

“That summer is around the corner so we are building a dam” and this leaves me in a titter. When their siblings used to go to schools these small kids are busy with each other in playing they sit in the sloping area of dirt/mud. They build dams to block the water from going into the streams.
