Preliminary estimates put Shehzada’s first-day gross between Rs 6.75 and 7.75 crore, which is a solid start considering the film’s star, Kartik Aaryan. The film’s progress was slow through Wednesday morning, but it picked up steam that afternoon. Due to the momentum, both national chains and independent theatres had walk-in audiences on the day of release.

Shehzada Gets a Good Start in the TheatersGiven the scale of the release and the presence of Ant-Man and the Wasp, Quantum Break, and Pathaan as direct competitors. The launch can be considered adequate. Before the pandemic, films starring Kartik Aaryan, such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Pati Patni Aur Woh, and Luka Chuppi, opened to between Rs 6 crore and Rs 10 crore. Shehzada’s release will also occur in the same time frame, indicating that the pre-pandemic Kartik market has not shrunk but rather grown. Of course, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 remains his most successful opener to date, with a gross of nearly Rs 13 crore.

Team Shehzada benefits from the BOGO dealTaking into account the gradual decline in the actor market over the past year and a half due to a number of factors. It includes the cacophony of social media expectations. This might be considered a good start, setting the stage for growth over the weekend. The film is currently benefiting from a “Buy One Get One Free” promotion. Which has contributed to the increase in first-day earnings. The Shehzada production team had the perfect idea by offering discounts to the public before the film’s premiere. It has boosted attendance on the film’s first day in theatres.
